Testimonials:

"I have tried to submit my own LPA Form 1 to the Office of Public Guardian (OPG), thinking that I can just get a GP to sign off as Certificate Issuer at a relatively low price. However, while the OPG did a great job on their website to explain how to fill up, I am nonetheless clueless and ended up the LPA Form 1 got returned to me 3 times for amendments!!! I was subsequently introduced to CK after the 3rd time and he was able to quickly explained to me how to fill up the form and also gathered all my donees to explain to them!! If you want someone to explain to you and do it right the first time, please consult Mr. CK."

"It was difficult to get my children to go with me to the law firm to sign off as Donees, and I thought they must be present at the law firm, until CK told me he can actually meet my Donees separately to witness their signature. Mr. CK came down on a Saturday afternoon to meet my children and I am grateful to him for making things so convenient!"

FAQ:

(1) Why must I pay for LPA Form 1? I thought it is free for Singapore Citizens?

You are paying for the "Certificate Issuing Fee" for LPA Form 1. The "Application Fee" for LPA Form 1 is waived for Singapore Citizens.

All Lasting Power of Attorney applications have to be witnessed and certified by a practicing lawyer, a registered psychiatrist or medical practitioner accredited by the Office of Public Guardian.

The certificate issuing fee is a professional fee that certificate issuers such as accredited general practitioners, psychiatrists and lawyers charge.

The LPA is an important legal instrument to be used when an individual is most vulnerable and without mental capacity to manage his/her own affairs. Therefore, it is important to have appropriate safeguards to protect the interests of the individual. The certificate issuer plays this role by certifying that the applicant is not making an LPA under due pressure or duress, and that he/she understands the nature and effect of the legal instrument. For this reason, the certificate issuer charges a professional fee for the service.

Our Fee of SGD168/- net (before promotion) is already inclusive of our lawyer's certificate issuing fee plus form filling and signing off as witnesses for your Donee(s).
